How delivery works

From cart to courier — here is what happens after you place an order.

• Add products to your cart and choose or add a delivery address at checkout.
• See an estimated shipping cost before you pay — powered by GIG pricing on Afrigora.
• Pay once for your items, tailoring, shipping, and any applicable fees.
• The seller prepares your order; GIG collects from the shop or fulfiller address.
• Track your parcel on Afrigora web (Orders → Track) or in the app, using status updates and your waybill until it arrives.

For orders that include tailoring, some items may travel to a tailor first and then to you — or stay at the store until sewing is complete. See Hold & Save below.

Delivery options

Home delivery brings your order directly to the address you provide at checkout — ideal when you want everything at your door.

Service centre pickup lets you collect from a nearby GIG location if that works better for your schedule. Shipping estimates reflect the option you choose during checkout.

Shop, tailor, and deliver in one order

Afrigora is built for African fashion — buy fabrics and ready-to-wear, send selected items to a tailor for sewing, and still get everything delivered to you.

You can add tailoring to eligible cart lines, pick a tailor and design, and pay sewing fees alongside your products at checkout. GIG moves goods from the store to the tailor when needed, and completes delivery to your address when work is finished.

When store and tailor are close enough, local handover may apply at no extra GIG charge for the store-to-tailor leg — keeping your total delivery cost sensible.

Hold & Save

Hold & Save is for mixed carts: some lines go to a tailor, and the rest can stay safely at the store until sewing is done — then everything ships together in one delivery.

This is not “pay later.” You pay the full order total at checkout — merchandise, sewing, shipping, and a small store keeping fee on held items. Held products are paid for; they simply wait at the shop until your tailored pieces are ready.

That one final GIG drop-off means fewer separate parcels, less hassle, and a smoother experience when you are buying fabric, accessories, and tailoring in the same order.

• Toggle “Hold other items until tailor finishes” at checkout when your cart qualifies
• Held items stay at the vendor until tailoring completes — then ship with your finished pieces
• A transparent keeping fee applies to held merchandise (shown in checkout preview)
• Works with multiple designs or tailors when they are within the supported distance
• Look for Save Small badges on products — vendors can mark eligible items with promotional savings

At checkout on Afrigora web or the app, preview shows holdAtStoreFee, hold fee percent, and delivery legs before you pay.

Track every step

After your order is placed, open Order details or Track & confirm to see status updates, live GIG webhook progress, and waybill numbers. Customer delivery to your address can be tracked through GIG while Afrigora keeps your order, payment, and tailoring progress in one place.

For split tailor orders, you may see separate tracking for the tailor leg and your home delivery leg — all visible from your Afrigora order screen.
